After reading a Dice.com short essay and viewing an embedded Youtube clip called "Too Tired to Walk the Dog? Use a Drone," I just had to comment on this post on my own blog, and I just need to point out just how lazy people are becoming. Further, I shall point out just how wrong-headed it is to use technology is such a dehumanizing manner!
I shall pose the question in this manner: Who is the REAL “drone?” Is it the device buzzing around in the sky, or might it be the dog owner himself? The one who has lost his humanity and who is too lazy to even take the dog for a walk. Why should this (dog owner) “drone” even have a dog in the first place? Isn’t there supposed to be a connection between human and dog? Isn’t the “act” of “walking” a normal human activity that keeps human beings mentally and physically healthy?
Therein lies my point! This (dog owner) "drone" is lazy, and has lost the good things of God, if he ever even had them in the first place. "Drones" like these are incapable of "love" for animals or for anyone else. God put animals on the earth to teach us how to love. Yet, when using a computerized "drone," that connection is lost. Further, the act of "walking" is a natural and humane activity which keeps us healthy both physically and mentally. Yet, the (dog owner) "drone" will no doubt hop in his car and drive to work, sit on his butt for eight or more hours, get back in his car, and drive home. There's not much "walking" at all in that process. At least four (4) miles of uninterrupted walking (daily) is required for exceptional physical/mental health. His dog will (no doubt) have been left alone in his house (or apartment) for ten or more hours all alone! With this type of lifestyle, no wonder people are ill at an early age. It's no mystery as to why more people are suffering from mental illnesses of various kinds!
To those reading, it is now time for you to take back your humanity! That is a "use or lose" proposition.
